General Contractor

My father is an electrician.  Before that some other trade maybe a roofer I know he did so time as one.  He built a small lake house over many weekends for us when I was in high school.  He would say I mostly got in the way; when I was not "too busy" to even show up.  Fast forward to today and I am following in my daddy's footsteps even though I went out a earned that education he never did.  He said it would keep my joints from hurting later in life.  And that education was just the springboard to the position that has keep me mainly pointing fingers and making phone calls.  Although as leader of Picasso Homes I am not afraid to get dirty and work so hard sweat stings my eyes; however, most of my heavy labor duties are limited to demolition for quality purposes.  I watch all my jobs closely and in most cases work with the contractors I bring to my clients home.

In the winter months of 1999 I received a Business Management degree from Texas A&M and began my career as a construction manager with Coventry Homes.  I won many awards even the Best Builder contest which came with a very nice bonus so all the 20-30 managers were on board to win it.  After about 2 and a half years I wanted to build my own homes so I started with my Uncle Mark and built his home as Rice Custom Homes.  After that project which was not well thought out from a business continuation point of view but got me started and it was successful for all involved from a product point of view.   I began working for Beazer Homes next, incidental they are a well run company with good people.  Not that Coventry was not but Beazer impressed me more so.  While commanding a neighborhood for Beazer I noticed a Floor and Decor moving in at 1960 and I-45, near the subdivision I ran.  I asked them how to become a preferred contractor.  They told me.  I did what they said and began laying floor on the weekly basis for the next year.  Life was good until they changed the system due to the underperformance of some of their other contractors and ended the whole system.  However Picasso Homes already had other plans and was ready to launch into new subdivision.  This time well thought out and well planned.  Picasso Homes was ready to build the first model home in the French Quarter on Lake Conroe and broke ground in 2006.

And that is the super quick history of where Picasso Homes came from.  Truly many friends have helped along the way.  The bottom line is if you need a home remodel project completed in a professional manner at a reasonable price than Picasso is who you want to know.  And the bonus is we are going to have fun doing it.
